Diversity…

In life it’s rare that any two days would be the same. It’s a similar story with working in the design business, something I love about my chosen trade. No two jobs the same, no two designs identical, on location, off location: constant variation. Diversity.

Just another “make it” Monday…

Sometimes getting away from the screen and working with tangible materials is like therapy.
Sometimes it doesn’t turn out how one expects but that’s all part of the process…
Creating something beautiful out of something practical/dull/rejected etc. is a journey of thought, producing and finalising. It took a bit to get this one right but I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out. 🙂

Restoration…

Over 80 years ago when my Grandad was a boy he played with a train his father built for him. When my dad was a boy over 50 years ago he played with the same train. We rediscovered it a few years ago but weather had ruined the side plates and part of the frame. This week I finished restoring it and am rather pleased with how well it turned out. My boys are currently playing with it in the garden, half a century after their Grandpa played with it in his garden and over 80 years after their Great Great Gramps built it!
